Let is introduce ourselves.
We are expats living in a village close to Aix-en-Provence since 2017. At a short distance to Aix, Marseille airport in Marignane, Marseille itself, the TGV and the Plan de Campagne.
We have been coming here since nearly 30 years now. And Nicolaas has been working as expat in a project with Airbus Helicopters since 2012.Before 2017 he came over once every two weeks and thus got to know the hotels, restaurants and things-to-do in Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and its surroundings quite well.
Immy often joined Nicolaas on his trips and living here has now already built up a great network with expats and (even) French friends living here. Daughter Minne studies and lives in The Netherlands and comes over every month for a long weekend or week and gives us the fresh view of the accidental visitor. This is how we got to know this regio very well.
With this site and the social media channels on facebook, Instagram and Twitter we want to share our experiences and at the same time give fellow-expats, visitors and residents a handy overview of places, stores, things-to-do we really have liked and still like. But also (especially for the expats here) where to find the best handymen and service providers to help you with domestic annoyances if you have a house here. Because as most of you by now have experiences, this is one of the big challenges of living here.
So all views expressed are completely personal, totally devoid of any objectivity and it could be you have completely different experiences.
